Immigration Services assist
many in the  community

Catholic Charities has  provided immigration services in Southwest Florida since 1984.

The agency is recognized and accredited by the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) as an organization that provides affordable immigration-related services. Staff counselors are BIA certified and have the necessary experience and knowledge of immigration law and procedures. Four locations in the Diocese of Venice offer immigration services to eligible clients. Reunification of families is the priority of the program.

Counselors can assist with applications for citizenship, petitions for family members, permanent residency, consular processing, applications for work authorization, requests for replacement of lost documents, and information and referral for special immigrant juveniles and victims of domestic abuse and their children.  A Citizenship Tutoring Program also is offered to prepare and assist future citizens in gaining the self-confidence they need to pass the Citizenship test.
