Kick up your heels at Boots and Bandannas event
 and support Catholic Charities of DeSoto County

 

Venice--Catholic Charities of DeSoto County will host the 8th Annual Boots and Bandannas Dinner Dance on Saturday, February 20 at 6:00 p.m. at the Mission Valley Country Club in Venice to raise money to support their programs and services.

 

"During the past year, the economy has been most unkind to the people of Southwest Florida," said Catholic Charities of DeSoto County Director Andrea Herigodt. "Businesses have been suffering and the unemployment picture has been bleak. As a result, donations have been at levels significantly below what is normal--even while the needs of the underprivileged have been increasing. They have been hit the hardest."

 

Through Boots and Bandannas, the agency obtains a significant portion of the funding that enables them to provide food, clothing and financial assistance to those in an economic crisis.

 

 The casual-dress event is a lively, western-themed party that will feature a social hour, dinner and dancing, and a silent auction. Anyone interested in supporting Catholic Charities of DeSoto County can attend by purchasing tickets and/or becoming a sponsor of the event. Tickets are $55 per person.
