A Special Place offers respite for those with Alzheimer's Disease and memory loss
Catholic Charities in Charlotte County offers a respite program for caregivers of persons with Alzheimer's
Disease and memory loss called A Special Place.
Caregivers enjoy much needed free time while their loved ones spend a day out in a safe and loving environment. Staff and volunteers of the program are trained to offer activities that stimulate brain activity, encourage social interaction, and strengthen memory for clients.
Caregivers
also are given resource and referral information and behavior management
tips.
