Adoption Services provide options
Catholic Charities
has a long tradition of viewing adoption as a beneficial and lifelong
process which creates special questions, needs, and concerns that can be
assisted with the help of sensitive and respectful professionals. The agency
is committed to the rights and well-being of each member of the adoption triad: the birth
parents, the adoptive parents and the adoptee.
A range of service options are available. They include:
- Information and referral
- Post-adoption counseling
- Linkage and exchange services for birth parents and adoptive families
- Non-identifying information reports
- Family medical history searches
- Liaison with other child-placing agencies
- Search and reunion assistance

In cooperation with Catholic Charities in the Diocese of St. Petersburg, Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Venice offers additional adoption services. They include:
- Pregnancy counseling and adoption support
- Placement
- Home Studies for domestic, international and special needs adoptions
- Post-placement supervision
