Immigration
Pursuing the dream of becoming a U.S. citizen
Catholic Charities has provided family based immigration services in Southwest Florida since 1984. The agency is recognized and accredited by the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) as an organization that provides affordable immigration-related services. Staff counselors are BIA certified and have the necessary experience and knowledge of immigration law and procedures. Reunification of families is the priority of the program.
Counselors can assist with applications for citizenship, petitions for family members, permanent residency, consular processing, applications for work authorization, requests for replacement of lost documents, information and referral for special immigrant juveniles, and provide assistance to victims of domestic violence and battery, victims of criminal activity, and victims of severe forms of trafficking.
A Citizenship Tutoring Program also is available to prepare and assist future citizens in gaining the self-confidence they need to pass the Citizenship test.
