Take a stand for life
Today, there are hundreds of thousands of loving couples that desire to share their love with a child. They seek to adopt children into their family, but very few are available to adopt.
Many women with unplanned pregnancies are choosing to offer a gift of life and love through adoption to families who have not been able to conceive a son or daughter of their own. This loving but difficult choice can be very expensive.
Funds generated by Florida's Choose Life specialty license plate will assist these women with the expenses of a full-term pregnancy. Funds may also be expended on infants awaiting placement with adoptive parents.
About the license plate
In 1996, Marion County Commissioner Randy Harris had an idea to create a license plate to raise funds, and awareness, in support of women in crisis pregnancies who would commit to having their babies and placing them for adoption rather than opting for abortion.
After many years and thousands of volunteer hours, Governor Jeb Bush signed into law America's first official license plate designed to encourage women with unplanned pregnancies to consider adoption as a choice. Every tag sold raises $20 to help organizations, such as maternity homes, pregnancy resource centers and certain non-profit adoption agencies, which are helping women committed to making an adoption plan for their child.
