Providing hope and options

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice provides non-identifying family background information to former clients of past adoption services. Catholic Charities currently does not provide adoption services.

Florida adoption records are sealed. Catholic Charities will disclose reasonably available non-identifying information to an adoptive parent, adoptee, or birth parents. Disclosures will only be made upon payment of a $100 non-refundable service fee and receipt of a notarized Non-Identifying Information Request Form.

Following an administrative review of a request by Catholic Charities, a request will be approved and processed, or denied. Not all adoption files contain the information designated on the Non-Identifying Information Request Form.

Notification will be provided if no record is found or a request has been denied. Under no circumstance will non-identifying information be provided over the telephone or by email.
