School On Wheels Program
desperately needs volunteers

The School On Wheels Program at Guadalupe Social Services of Catholic Charities in Immokalee is in desperate need of volunteers to keep the program running. 

The program matches female volunteers with non-English speaking women for one-on-one tutoring sessions. Volunteers travel to the home of the student once a week to provide a 90-minute teaching session in conversational English. Training is provided and teaching experience or speaking another language besides English is not required. 

Many homebound women, who cannot speak English, have no other outlet to learn the language and ultimately become self-sufficient. Please consider helping this worthy program. To volunteer or for more information, please call Diane Martinez 239-657-6242.
