Our Mother's House

Swing Baby Swing

Sarasota--This year, to assist with the cost of expanding services, Our Mother's House of Catholic Charities is having its first Sarasota-based fundraiser called Swing Baby Swing on Friday, October 30 at 6:30 p.m. at Michael's On East.

The evening promises to be lively and entertaining, with music from the Big Band era dominating the scene thanks to the 17-piece George W. Carroll Band. Patrons can don 1940s period dress or cocktail attire for this festive dinner dance. Sarasota Magazine is the "Presenting Sponsor." Individual tickets are $125 and sponsorships are available.

Now more than ever, Our Mother’s House is asking for the community to support them in their endeavor to make a difference in the lives of homeless moms and babies. The program is currently renovating another residential complex to assist more.

At a time when other residential programs for mothers and babies in the area have closed their doors -- driving the need well beyond what now is available -- Catholic Charities is stepping up and providing additional services. However, we cannot do that alone. We need the help of our community to support Our Mother’s House!

Please join us at Swing Baby Swing on October 30 as we celebrate moms and babies. For event information, please call Jeanette Wozniak at Catholic Charities at 941-379-9111, ext. 300.
