Our Mother's House

Community responds largely to news articles

At Christmas time, the Sarasota Herald Tribune published several articles about the mothers and babies of Our Mother’s House of Catholic Charities for the Season of Sharing series.  As a result of those stories, there was great community response in the form of generosity. Below is a letter from Our Mother’s House to all who were so kind and thoughtful.

On behalf of the mothers and children at Our Mother's House of Catholic Charities, we wish to express our sincere appreciation to the community for their generous support of our families this Christmas. Most of the families at Our Mother's House enter with so very little – little family support, money, belongings, education, self esteem, or hope. What they do come with is a strong desire to improve their lives and provide for their children. Despite these challenging times, the community responded above and beyond our expectations. This tremendous outpouring of support and generosity was overwhelming, and helped to make Christmas a very special time for the families. Thank you for giving and for making a difference in so many lives. It is greatly appreciated.
