Emergency Financial Assistance
"For I was hungry"
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you
gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in."

Sarasota
and Manatee Counties--The
Emergency Financial Assistance Program of Catholic Charities announces
new granted services in collaboration with the Sarasota County
government. The new grant, known as ARRA, provides for an additional 120
Sarasota County families to be helped over the next year with intensive
case management services to include budgeting, vocational assistance,
housing/ homelessness prevention, and linking to community financial
resources for a hand-up from economic disaster.
To qualify for the program a family (or person) must meet poverty
definitions as set forth in the grant and be a resident of Sarasota
County. The program is tightly monitored and managed by county officials
in tandem with Catholic Charities staff to ensure those in need in our
community are getting assistance to recover from financial disaster.
For more information about ARRA, please call Emergency Financial
Assistance Program Director Mary Koctur at 941-356-2050.
