Lions on the move!

Venice--The Venice Lions Club continues its 62-year history of serving the community. Each month, the Lions collect food to donate to local service programs. Pictured is one such collection going to the HIV/AIDS Ministries Program of Catholic Charities.
The Program
feeds 300 families through a weekly food pantry. During these
challenging times, demand far exceeds supply. Each week the Catholic
Charities pantry runs out of food. Thanks to the generosity of the
Venice Lions Club those shelves are restocked more quickly. The Lions
started their regular donations in December 2008 with a collection of
650 pounds of food.
First organized in June of 1947 with 29 members, today
the Venice Lions Club continues strong with over 70 members. For a
