Shoes provided to needy families in Arcadia

 

 

Arcadia--The Payless Gives Shoes For Kids Program provided Catholic Charities of DeSoto County with 150 $15 gift certificates that were distributed during the Christmas season.

 

"So many needy families that come to us have a hard time keeping their growing children in shoes that fit," said Program Director Andy Herigodt. The boy in the photo walked to the Catholic Charities office with his four siblings and parents to receive food. A welcome surprise, they were also treated to the Payless Shoes gift cards. A Catholic Charities employee then drove the family to the store where all the children picked out new shoes.
